ChoreCycle Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using ChoreCycle (the "App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

ChoreCycle is an iOS application that helps households plan and rotate recurring cleaning tasks among family members or roommates. The App auto-schedules chores, sends daily reminders, and tracks completion. All data is stored locally on your device.

3. Free Tier & Limitations

The App offers a free tier with the following limitations:

• Up to 2 household members
• Up to 15 chores
• 1 household

To unlock unlimited members, chores, and households, a Pro subscription is required.

4. Subscription Plans & Pricing

The App offers the following subscription plans to unlock all Pro features:

• Monthly Plan - $1.99 per month
• Annual Plan - $12.99 per year

Prices are in US dollars and may vary by region. Actual prices will be displayed in your local currency at the time of purchase.

5. Payment & Billing

All payments are processed through your Apple ID account via Apple's App Store. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account upon confirmation of purchase. We do not collect or store any payment information.

6. Auto-Renewal Terms

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
• The renewal price is the same as the original subscription price
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time by going to Settings, then Apple ID, then Subscriptions on your device
• Subscriptions are non-refundable for the remaining portion of the active period
• If a free trial is offered, any unused portion of the free trial will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription

7. Data & Backups

All data created in the App is stored locally on your device. The App does not provide cloud backup or sync. You are responsible for maintaining your own device backups (for example, through iCloud device backup or iTunes/Finder backup). We are not liable for any data loss resulting from device failure, App deletion, or other circumstances.

8. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Use the App only for lawful purposes and in compliance with applicable laws
• Maintain your own backups of important data
• Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Not use the App in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its functionality

9. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in the App, including but not limited to its design, code, graphics, and content, are owned by the developer. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal or household purposes in accordance with these Terms.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. The App is a household planning tool and does not guarantee any particular outcome in chore completion or household management.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data or business opportunities arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the App. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
