By downloading or using Culet (the "App"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App. Culet is published by an independent iOS developer (Apple Developer Team ID ZM8LF8494F); "we," "us," and "our" mean that developer.
Culet is a planning and reference companion for the lapidary craft of gem faceting. You import facet designs you own, or use the twelve built-in generic classics; the App parses a design into a tier table, converts its angles to a chosen material by the tangent-ratio method, grades each pavilion tier against the material's critical angle, estimates finished size and carat weight, guides a step-by-step cutting session, and lets you log finished stones. Material facts come from published gemological references with per-record citations.

Faceting designs are creative works owned by their designers. Culet bundles only twelve in-house-authored generic classic designs. Every other design you use must be one you have the right to use, imported by you. Imported designs are stored only on your device, are never transmitted or redistributed by the App, and are never rendered onto any sharing surface. You are responsible for respecting the license terms of any design you import.
The App is free to download and use. The free tier includes the full materials reference and angle calculator, all twelve built-in classic designs with their cutting cards and complete Session Mode, two trial .ASC imports, and a three-stone log. There is no App Lock or data-export feature gated behind Pro.
Pro features unlock when you complete any of these purchases, each granting the identical Pro feature set:

The Annual and Monthly subscriptions automatically renew until canceled. Renewal is charged within 24 hours before the end of the current period unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before that end. Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Manage or cancel in Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions on your device. Refunds are determined solely by Apple under its published policies. The Lifetime purchase is a single charge with no recurring billing.
If you start the one-month free trial on Annual and cancel during it, you keep Pro through the end of the trial and are not charged. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited if you purchase Lifetime.
Pro provides the following features. The behavior described here is binding on us; if a future update materially changes any description, we will revise this section.
The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid us, through Apple, in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost data, wasted rough or materials, a windowed or misfinished stone, or any outcome at the machine. Calculations and reference content are tools for your use; we guarantee no cutting result.
Your use of the App is also governed by Apple's standard EULA for licensed applications: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. In a conflict, these Terms govern between you and us; the Apple EULA governs between you and Apple.
Any software format, organization, or product names referenced in the App or this document belong to their respective holders. Culet is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them; references are factual and nominative only.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be surfaced in the App on next launch. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in courts located in California, except that either party may seek injunctive relief to protect intellectual property rights in any court of competent jurisdiction.
