Emberwrit

A private defense-and-correction log for small businesses cited by the fire marshal — Legal

About this app

Emberwrit is a personal recordkeeping and reminder tool for small-business owners who have received a fire-code citation from the fire marshal. It logs each citation with its fire-code section, violation type, severity, the inspector's quote, and the owner's written objection; records the corrective action and re-inspection result; lets the owner attach photos (taken with the camera or chosen from their library) of the cited condition and the fix; tracks the 30-day correction, re-inspection, and appeal deadlines; and generates an evidence-timeline PDF and an appeal or re-inspection request letter. All data and photos stay on the owner's iPhone. It is not affiliated with any fire department, fire marshal's office, or government agency; it does not decide whether a citation is valid or will be overturned, files nothing on the owner's behalf, and provides no legal advice. It is for documenting corrections and appealing unfair citations — never for avoiding any fire-safety requirement. Verify the citation and the appeal process with your local fire department.
