Expirify Privacy Policy

Thank you for using Expirify (the "App"). We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains how the App handles your data.

1. Data Collection & Storage

The App does not collect, upload, or store any personal data on remote servers. All expiry items, categories, people, attachments, and other data are stored locally on your device only.

• All data is saved in the app sandbox via Apple SwiftData
• Subscription status is managed by Apple StoreKit; the App maintains no server-side accounts
• The App requires no registration and no login
• The App does not use any cloud sync

2. Permissions

The App may request the following system permissions:

• Notifications: Used to send local reminder notifications as expiry dates approach. All notifications are generated locally and never go through any server
• Camera: Used only when you actively choose to take a photo of a document as an attachment. Photos are saved locally only
• Photo Library: Used only when you actively choose a photo from your library as an attachment
• Background Refresh: Used to update expiry status in the background to ensure timely notifications

3. Third-Party Services

The App integrates no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. It uses only Apple's official frameworks (StoreKit for in-app purchases, UserNotifications for local notifications).

4. Data Export

You may export your expiry items as a CSV file through the in-app Data Management feature. Exported files are managed by you; the App does not access exported files in any way.

5. Children's Privacy

The App is suitable for all ages but is not specifically designed for children under 13. Since the App collects no user data, it does not collect data from children either.

6. Changes to This Policy

If this policy is updated, we will post the changes on this page and update the "Last Updated" date at the top.
