By downloading or using FlareLog (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App. The App is published by an independent iOS developer (Apple Developer Team ID ZM8LF8494F); references to "we," "us," and "our" mean that developer.
FlareLog is a personal records organizer for patients living with autoimmune conditions. You enter information about your conditions, flares, medications, lab values, imaging, prior-authorization events, and provider communications; the App helps you organize that information and (in the Pro tier) generate PDF reports for your own use, including a PA Defense Pack that compiles a multi-year evidence pack for prior-authorization appeals.
The App is free to download and use. The free tier includes unlimited conditions, unlimited flare entries, unlimited medication / lab / imaging / document / PA event logging with all eight event types, 1 photo per flare entry, Face ID / Touch ID app lock, and full archive JSON export (Settings > Export full backup).
Pro features unlock when you start a Pro subscription or purchase the Pro Lifetime product. Three products are offered:
All three products unlock the same set of Pro features. Prices shown are USD; Apple displays the equivalent local price at purchase time.
Auto-renewing subscriptions (Monthly and Annual) automatically renew until canceled. Renewal is charged within 24 hours before the end of the current period unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before that end. Payment is charged to your Apple ID. You can manage and cancel your subscription in Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions on your iOS device. Refunds for the unused portion of an active period are not offered by FlareLog; refund eligibility is determined solely by Apple under its published policies.
If you start a free trial and cancel during the trial, you keep Pro access through the end of the trial period and are not charged. If you do not cancel, your subscription begins at the end of the trial at the published price.
Your archive is stored locally on your iOS device using Apple's SwiftData framework. The data is included in your standard iOS device backup (iCloud Backup or Finder/iTunes encrypted backup) when you have device backup enabled — this is how a multi-year archive survives a new device. FlareLog operates no servers and holds no remote copy of your archive. You can export the full archive as a JSON file at any time via Settings > Export full backup. Deletes are permanent — confirm twice in the in-app dialog before deleting.
Pro Lifetime is a non-consumable in-app purchase. There is no recurring charge. The purchase unlocks the same Pro feature set as the auto-renewing subscriptions and persists for the life of the App on every device signed into your Apple ID. Refunds are governed solely by Apple under its published policies.
Pro provides the following features. The behavior described here is binding on us — if a future App update materially changes any of these descriptions, we will revise this section.
The following capabilities are universal Free (never gated):
The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid us, through Apple, for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost data, denied prior authorizations, denied insurance claims, lost biologic coverage, disease progression, or any clinical or financial outcome. Reports generated by the App are tools for your use; we do not guarantee that any clinician, insurer, attorney, patient advocate, pharmacy benefits manager, or government agency will accept them.
Your use of the App is also governed by Apple's standard End User License Agreement (EULA) for licensed applications, available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and the Apple EULA, these Terms govern as between you and us; the Apple EULA governs as between you and Apple.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be surfaced in the App on next launch. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in courts located in California, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property rights.
