By downloading or using Leverty (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App. The App is published by an independent iOS developer (Apple Developer Team ID ZM8LF8494F); "we," "us," and "our" mean that developer.
Leverty is a personal recordkeeping and reference tool for small-business owners who have received a business personal property assessment notice from a county assessor. You enter information about your own business assets (name, acquisition date, category, status, and an optional acquisition cost), the assessment notice (assessment year, assessed value, field office, appeal deadline), and your own dispute notes. The App organizes that record, tracks the short appeal deadline, references publicly available state business-personal-property and county appeals-board procedure material, and — on the Pro tier — generates an evidence-timeline PDF and an appeal-preparation checklist for your own use.
The App is free to download and use, with these limits: up to 10 business assets (each with its category and status flag) and 1 assessment notice (with its assessed value, field office, and appeal deadline), dispute-point and ghost-asset flagging on every record, the state business-personal-property and appeals-board reference, and a single on-device reminder before your appeal deadline. App Lock (Face ID / Touch ID) is included free for all users.
Pro features unlock when you start the Pro subscription or complete the Lifetime purchase. Two products are offered:
Both products unlock the identical Pro feature set. Prices are in USD; Apple displays the equivalent local price at purchase. There is no monthly product.
The Annual subscription automatically renews until canceled. Renewal is charged within 24 hours before the end of the current period unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before that end. Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Manage or cancel in Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions on your iOS device. Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under its policies and applicable law; non-waivable consumer rights remain available. The Lifetime purchase is a single charge with no recurring billing.
An introductory free trial is available only when Apple confirms eligibility for the subscription group and an applicable offer exists. The updated paywall checks eligibility before presenting trial benefits; unknown or ineligible accounts use ordinary subscription language. Apple’s purchase sheet confirms the actual duration, localized price and billing period before payment. Unless canceled at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription converts to the displayed paid plan. Trial access may end when canceled and follows Apple’s verified expiry or revocation. Older installed app versions may display earlier offer wording until updated. Buying Lifetime does not cancel a separate subscription or trial; manage that subscription through Apple.
Pro provides the following features. The behavior described here is binding on us — if a future App update materially changes any of these descriptions, we will revise this section.
App Lock is a Free feature that uses Apple's LocalAuthentication framework (Face ID, Touch ID, or device passcode) to gate access to the App. Biometric data never leaves Apple's Secure Enclave; the App receives only a success/failure result. App Lock can be enabled or disabled in Settings > Privacy at any time.
The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid us, through Apple, in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost data, a missed appeal deadline, an increased or unreduced assessment, a higher tax bill, business interruption, or any outcome of an assessment, appeal, hearing, or proceeding. Reference content and generated documents are tools for your use; we do not guarantee that any assessor, appeals board, or court will accept or be bound by them.
Your use of the App is also governed by Apple's standard End User License Agreement for licensed applications, available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. If these Terms conflict with the Apple EULA, these Terms govern as between you and us; the Apple EULA governs as between you and Apple.
Organization and agency names referenced in the App and in this document — including county assessors and assessment appeals boards, state taxing authorities, and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) — belong to their respective holders. Leverty is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any of them.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be surfaced in the App on next launch. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in courts located in California, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property rights.
Deleting an assessment notice also deletes its challenges after a successful save. Business assets are independent records and remain; deleting an asset does not delete challenges that reference its identifier. Review retained references separately. There is no Recently Deleted or full-database import; a generated PDF cannot reconstruct the collection. Independently saved exports, original system media and earlier backups require separate management. A record deletion does not erase those copies.

The updated App pauses the normal record interface if its persistent database cannot be opened and only a temporary in-memory store is available. New recording and editing through that interface are blocked. The App keeps the existing database and attachment files rather than treating the temporary empty store as your archive. Database-dependent startup work in that interface is paused; previously scheduled reminders, widget snapshots or independent copies may remain.
Check available device storage, close and reopen the App, and contact support before deleting or reinstalling it. This recovery screen is not a backup, a repair guarantee or an automatic restoration of missing records. Older installed versions may behave differently until updated; publishing this document does not update an installed App.
The updated App checks asset, notice and challenge saves and deletions. A failed write keeps the original stored values and current open form for retry; unrelated pending edits are not rolled back. Asset photo additions and removals are independent immediate saves, so closing a text-edit form does not undo a successfully saved photo change. Failed additions retain the selected photo data in the current view for Retry saving or Discard; a failed library preparation adds none of that selected batch and offers preparation retry. Unsaved selections are temporary memory, not a durable draft or backup, and can be lost when the view or process ends. Removing an attached photo requires confirmation and does not remove the original system-library photo. A failed photo removal keeps the stored bytes. Notice deletion cascades to its challenges only after a successful save; assets remain independent. Notification updates follow successful record saves, but notification delivery and removal are separate system operations and are not a cross-system transaction.
These changes require the updated App binary. Publishing this document does not update older installed versions.
