By downloading or using Pawchart (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App. The App is published by an independent iOS developer (Apple Developer Team ID ZM8LF8494F); references to "we," "us," and "our" mean that developer.
Pawchart is a personal records organizer for pet medical history. You enter information about your pets — vaccines, medications, vet visits, symptoms, weights, allergies, chronic conditions, and document scans — and the App helps you organize that information, schedule care reminders, and generate PDF reports for your own use, including reports formatted for veterinary handoffs, insurance claims, boarding, and emergency rooms.
The App is free to download and use with the following limits: 1 pet, unlimited basic event records (vaccines, medications, vet visits, symptoms, weights, allergies, chronic conditions), iCloud sync, Recently Deleted (30-day recovery), care reminders, and Face ID / Touch ID app lock. Document attachments, PDF reports, Emergency QR card, daily dose log, weight charts, and cost insights are Pro features.
Pro features unlock when you start a Pro subscription. Two products are offered:
Both products unlock the same set of Pro features. Prices shown are USD; Apple displays the equivalent local price at purchase time.
Subscriptions automatically renew until canceled. Renewal is charged within 24 hours before the end of the current period unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before that end. Payment is charged to your Apple ID. You can manage and cancel your subscription in Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions on your iOS device. Refunds for the unused portion of an active period are not offered by Pawchart; refund eligibility is determined solely by Apple under its published policies.
If you start a free trial and cancel during the trial, you keep Pro access through the end of the trial period and are not charged. If you do not cancel, your subscription begins at the end of the trial at the published price.
Pawchart can optionally replicate your records to your private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit private database. iCloud sync is ON by default for backup safety because pet medical records span 10–15 years and the cost of losing them is high; you can decline at the onboarding sync-choice screen or in Settings > Sync. iCloud sync is a free feature, NOT part of the Pro subscription, and works for all users at all subscription levels. When sync is enabled, we have no access to the records — Apple's CloudKit private database is between you and your Apple ID. Apple's terms govern your use of iCloud and your relationship with Apple as the storage provider; iCloud-stored content may be subject to legal process directed at Apple. Records deleted inside the app remain in a 30-day "Recently Deleted" recovery window before being permanently removed across all your synced devices.
Pro provides the following features. The behavior described here is binding on us — if a future App update materially changes any of these descriptions, we will revise this section.

The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid us, through Apple, for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost data, lost claim recoveries, or veterinary outcomes. Reports generated by the App are tools for your use; we do not guarantee that any veterinarian, insurer, boarding facility, or emergency clinic will accept them.
Your use of the App is also governed by Apple's standard End User License Agreement (EULA) for licensed applications, available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and the Apple EULA, these Terms govern as between you and us; the Apple EULA governs as between you and Apple.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be surfaced in the App on next launch. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in courts located in California, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property rights.
