PreemieCompanion is an iPhone-only iOS application that lets you record pregnancy profile data, visit logs, insurance encounters, NICU admission details, manufacturer-assistance applications, and provider communications. The app stores every record locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
PreemieCompanion is designed for continuing pregnancy insurance and care coordination. The app does not provide guidance, references, or resources related to abortion access, abortion law, abortion travel, abortion medications, or pregnancy termination. For abortion-related questions, consult your healthcare provider directly. Every recommended patient-advocacy organization (ACOG, March of Dimes, Postpartum Support International (PSI) at 1-800-944-4773, La Leche League, Black Mamas Matter Alliance, NAMI, WIC, United Way 211) serves continuing pregnancy and maternal health.
PreemieCompanion includes structured references for: private insurance high-risk pregnancy prior-authorization pathways (BCBS, Aetna, UnitedHealth, Cigna, Humana, Kaiser), Medicaid pregnancy 50-state coverage including ARPA 12-month postpartum extension status, NICU coverage documentation standards, pregnancy-medication manufacturer assistance programs, and an 8-organization patient-advocacy locator. All such content is reference-only, based on publicly available federal and state regulations and program documentation. Coverage policies change. These references do not constitute medical advice, FDA Class II diagnostic interpretation, or determination of your specific insurance outcome.
PreemieCompanion offers a free tier with the following caps: 1 pregnancy profile, 10 visit log entries, 10 insurance encounter entries, 1 NICU admission record, in-app PDF view (no export), and limited Reference Mapper access.
Pro features unlocked by an active subscription or lifetime purchase:
Pro Annual is $39.99 per year (United States Dollars) with a 30-day free trial for new subscribers. Pro Lifetime is $199 one-time. All purchases are handled by Apple via StoreKit. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; cancel anytime in iOS Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. The 30-day free trial converts to a paid subscription automatically if not cancelled before the trial ends. Refunds are governed by Apple's policies; contact Apple Support for refund requests.
PreemieCompanion intentionally does not include an in-app data export, import, or backup feature. Your records are protected by standard iOS Backups (iCloud Backup or Finder / iTunes backups) when those are enabled by you. If you delete the app without an iOS Backup available, your records are permanently lost. Generate PDF Reports for records you want to preserve outside the app.
PreemieCompanion stores all records locally on your iPhone. The app does not sync to iCloud Drive, CloudKit, or any cloud service. The only network communication is with Apple's StoreKit servers to verify subscription status.
PreemieCompanion is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Flint Software disclaims all warranties, express or implied.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Flint Software's total liability arising out of or related to the app is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months preceding the claim. Flint Software is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including without limitation lost insurance coverage, lost pregnancy or NICU coverage outcomes, or any clinical decision made in reliance on the app. Reference content is reference-only; clinical and insurance decisions are your responsibility in consultation with qualified professionals.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of California.
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be surfaced in the app or via the App Store listing. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
