By downloading or using Samplwitt ("the App"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App. The App is published by an independent iOS developer (Apple Developer Team ID ZM8LF8494F) for use in the United States, in English.
Samplwitt is a private, on-device tool that helps a small-business owner organize a response to a state sales tax audit: log the audit case, organize exemption and resale certificates and sales records, assemble a written objection to the auditor's sampling method, track the protest or redetermination deadline, and export an evidence PDF and a protest-preparation checklist.
Samplwitt is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any state department of revenue, tax authority, tax tribunal, tax-consulting service, accounting service, law firm, or government agency. It uses no government logo or mark, calculates no tax, assessment, refund, penalty, or "savings," connects to no bank or financial account, does not decide whether an audit finding is correct, does not predict the outcome of any protest, files nothing on your behalf, and submits records to no government system. It provides no legal, tax, or accounting advice and guarantees no result before any auditor, conciliation conference, tax tribunal, or court. You must pursue any protest or appeal through your state's official process, and you should verify your deadline and that process with your state's department of revenue or tax tribunal — and, where appropriate, with a sales-tax consultant or attorney.
The free tier lets you log audit cases and view the on-screen protest-deadline countdown, organize up to 10 certificates each with full detail, view the read-only evidence timeline, browse the bundled state sales-tax and appeal-procedure reference, and use App Lock — at no cost, with no account.
Pro features unlock when you start the Pro subscription or complete the Lifetime purchase. Two products are offered:
Both products unlock the same Pro feature set. Prices are shown on the paywall in your local currency at the time of purchase.
The Annual subscription is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase and renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings. The Lifetime purchase does not renew.
If the Annual product offers a 7-day free trial and you buy Lifetime (or otherwise end the trial early), any unused portion of the trial is forfeited.
App Lock (Face ID / Touch ID) is a privacy feature available to all users at no cost. It is not a Pro feature.
The App is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any outcome of an audit, protest, or appeal, arising from your use of the App. Reference content may be incomplete or out of date and varies by state; verify everything with an official source.
The App is licensed, not sold, to you under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Apple EULA"), as supplemented by these Terms. Apple is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the App or its content.
Product and agency names referenced in the App or its reference content are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification and general information only. Their use does not imply any affiliation or endorsement.
We may update these Terms as the App changes. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, surfaced in the App.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the developer's state of residence, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
