Towerlot Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-06-24 · Last updated: 2026-06-24

In one line. Towerlot keeps your lease terms, rent-review figures, encroachment notes and photos, and communications on your iPhone, and nowhere else. There is no Towerlot account and no Towerlot server. The only time the app uses the network is to ask Apple's StoreKit servers whether your subscription is active.

1. Who publishes Towerlot

Towerlot is published by an independent iOS developer (Apple Developer Team ID ZM8LF8494F). For any privacy question, write to captainlongevity@gmail.com.

2. What Towerlot keeps, and where

Everything you enter lives in a local SwiftData store inside the app on your iPhone:

We cannot read, restore, or move any of it. There is no Towerlot cloud.

3. The privacy promise, answered as questions

Is there a Towerlot server holding my lease records?

No. There is no Towerlot server and no Towerlot account. Your data stays in the app's local store on your device.

Towerlot lets me attach photos. Where do those go?

The photos you attach to an encroachment entry (taken with the camera or chosen from your photo library) are stored locally inside the app on your iPhone, the same as your other records. They are never uploaded. They are included in a standard iOS device backup (see section 6) and they appear in a Compliance PDF only if you generate one and choose to share it. Towerlot does not analyze photo content.

Does Towerlot connect to any outside data source to value my lease or look up market rates?

No. This is deliberate. Towerlot pulls no market rents, no CPI figures, no rate benchmarks, and no valuations of any kind. The rent escalation audit is arithmetic performed on your device, using only the numbers you enter yourself. If your lease is CPI-linked, you enter the figure you calculated; the app stores and compares it but never fetches it. Towerlot makes no network request other than to Apple's StoreKit.

Do you collect analytics, crash logs, or an advertising identifier?

No. There is no analytics SDK, no crash reporter, and no advertising identifier. We do not know how often you open the app, which screens you use, how many leases you track, or whether you subscribed - except through Apple's standard aggregate sales reports.

Does Towerlot use AI?

The rent escalation audit and the state lease-law reference run with deterministic, rule-based logic on your device. The reference content is bundled with the app and updated through ordinary App Store releases.

4. Permissions, and why each is asked

Towerlot requests no location, microphone, contacts, or health permissions, and does not track you across apps or websites.

5. Subscriptions

Towerlot Pro is sold through Apple's In-App Purchase. Apple processes the payment; Towerlot never sees your card or Apple ID credentials. Whether your subscription is active is checked on-device through StoreKit 2. That is the only network call the app makes.

6. Backups and deletion

Because your data lives on the device, it is included in a standard iOS device backup (iCloud Backup or a Finder backup) when you have one enabled - including your attached photos. If you delete Towerlot and you do not have an iOS backup available, the data is removed with the app and cannot be recovered by us, because we never had a copy.

7. Children

Towerlot is a tool for adult landowners and is not directed to children.

8. Changes

If a future release ever changes how data is handled, this page will be updated before that release ships, and any new data flow would be disclosed plainly here.
