TrustSteward — Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 23, 2026

TrustSteward (“we”, “our”, “the app”) is a records organizer for Special Needs Trust administration, ABLE account documentation, SSI / Medicaid asset limit evidence, and Letter of Intent succession planning. This policy describes what the app does and does not do with your information.

1. No account, no sign-in, no email

TrustSteward does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide an email address. There is no server-side user database under our control.

2. Local-only on-device storage

Every record you create in TrustSteward — the SNT/ABLE Profile, every Trust, every ABLE account, every Letter of Intent draft, every asset transaction, every benefit encounter, every distribution and contribution — is stored entirely on your iPhone using Apple’s SwiftData framework. Records are not transmitted to any server we operate, and they are not shared with any third party.

3. iOS device backup

If you have iCloud Backup enabled on your iPhone, or if you connect your iPhone to a Mac (Finder) or Windows PC (iTunes) and create an encrypted backup, your TrustSteward records are included in that backup as part of your device’s normal backup. The backup is controlled by you through Apple’s settings, encrypted in transit and at rest, and unreadable by us.

4. No in-app data export or import

TrustSteward does not include built-in data export, import, or backup-to-file features. The trust records, asset transactions, benefit encounters, distributions, and contributions you enter remain in the app on this device. PDF Reports are generated on the device and handed off through the iOS Share Sheet at your direction; nothing flows through our servers.

5. Face ID and Touch ID

If you enable App Lock in Settings (default OFF), TrustSteward uses Apple’s LocalAuthentication framework on-device. The biometric match is performed inside your iPhone’s Secure Enclave. The biometric data is never visible to us and never leaves your device.

6. No camera, no photo library, no microphone, no location, no contacts, no HealthKit

TrustSteward does not request access to your camera, photo library, microphone, location, contacts, calendar, or HealthKit. The records the app organizes are textual and numerical (transaction amounts, dates, categories, narrative notes), so no media permission is needed.

7. How the Reference Mapper runs

The Reference Mapper engine uses rule-based deterministic logic running on your device. Suggestions are drawn from publicly available U.S. government regulations and program documentation. No content from your records is transmitted to any external service.

8. Subscriptions (StoreKit 2)

TrustSteward Pro is an optional annual auto-renewing subscription ($39.99 / year with a 7-day free trial). TrustSteward Lifetime is an optional one-time non-renewing purchase ($199). Apple StoreKit 2 processes payment through your Apple ID. We do not receive your payment information. Apple returns an anonymous entitlement to the app indicating whether your purchase is active.

9. No analytics, no tracking, no advertising

TrustSteward contains no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting service, no tracking pixel, no advertising identifier integration, and no third-party service that would observe your behavior. The only outbound network traffic is the StoreKit subscription verification call to Apple.

10. Reference-only content sources

The ยง9 Reference Mapper presents SSI / SSDI rules, Medicaid lookback information across 50 states, ABLE rules including the 2026 expansion, and SNT types reference content. This content is compiled from publicly available U.S. government regulations and program documentation. It is presented as reference only and is not legal, tax, or benefit advice. Consult a licensed special needs attorney for all decisions.

11. Trustees, beneficiaries, and family members under 13

TrustSteward is intended for use by an adult trustee, an adult beneficiary, or a successor trustee. Records about a beneficiary under 13 may be entered by the adult trustee who is legally responsible for their administration. The app is not directed to children. Any information about a child remains on the adult user’s iPhone.

12. Data deletion

Because every record is stored on your iPhone, you can delete a record at any time by tapping its row, opening Edit, and tapping Delete (with confirmation). Deleting the app from your iPhone removes every TrustSteward record from that device. If you also delete the corresponding iOS Backup, the records are unrecoverable.

13. Changes to this policy

If we update this privacy policy, the revised version will be posted at the same URL. Continued use of the app after an update indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
