By using JobBook ("the App"), you agree to these terms.

The App

JobBook is a personal productivity application that helps you capture and track job applications, plan next actions, prepare for interviews, preserve STAR stories, compare offers, and maintain private career history on your own device. It is not a recruiter-facing product, does not apply to jobs on your behalf, does not process payroll, does not provide legal, financial, tax, or career advice, and does not integrate with employer systems.

Your data

Your JobBook records are stored on your device, and we do not keep a server copy. You are responsible for maintaining any records you need. JobBook provides user-initiated encrypted backup and export tools, but it does not provide automatic cloud sync or guarantee recovery if the App, device, password, or user-managed backup is lost. Uninstalling the App removes its local data, subject to your Apple device-backup settings; files you exported remain wherever you saved them.

Free and Pro access

Free access includes up to five active applications, the core application pipeline, basic fields, activity history, Home Screen widgets, weekly goal tracking, daily reminders, archive, and user-initiated encrypted backup and restore. Applications in terminal states do not count against the active-application limit.

JobBook Pro additionally includes unlimited active applications, bulk CSV import, Interview Log and cross-application Question Bank, Career Memory and STAR Story Library, on-device role preparation, contact management, Kanban view, job-description snapshots, offer comparison with Year 1 estimate, funnel and source analytics, follow-up reminders, resume and cover-letter libraries, PDF and CSV export, and Face ID / Touch ID app lock.

Features may evolve as the App is updated. The App Store product page and in-App purchase screen describe the current feature set at the time of purchase.

Purchases and billing

• Lifetime is a one-time, non-consumable In-App Purchase. It unlocks the current JobBook Pro feature set and does not automatically renew.
• Monthly is an auto-renewable subscription that provides Pro access while the subscription remains active.
• The previous annual subscription is not offered to new customers in version 1.1. A valid legacy annual entitlement continues to provide Pro access until it expires or is canceled.
• Prices and currencies are shown by Apple before purchase and may vary by country or region. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation.
• The monthly subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Apple charges the renewal within 24 hours before that period ends.
• You can manage or cancel a subscription through your Apple Account subscription settings. Canceling stops future renewals and does not normally end access before the current paid period expires.
• Restore Purchases can restore eligible entitlements when you use the same Apple Account. Availability across devices remains subject to Apple's StoreKit services and rules.
• Refund requests are handled by Apple. Eligibility varies by country or region and applicable consumer law. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com to request a refund.

Acceptable use

Use JobBook for your own job search or related personal record-keeping. Do not use the App to store data belonging to other people without their permission, and do not use it for anything illegal.

JobBook is provided "as is" and "as available" to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free calculations, continued compatibility, successful notification delivery, or recovery of locally stored data. Next Best Action suggestions, Career Memory matches, funnel analytics, Year 1 estimates, and other computed figures are for personal reference and are not financial, legal, tax, recruiting, or career advice.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, JobBook and its author are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, opportunities, offers, income, or profits arising from use of or inability to use the App. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer law.

Changes to these terms

If the terms change, we will update the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
