Sliphold is published by an independent iOS developer (Apple Developer Team ID ZM8LF8494F). For any privacy question, write to captainlongevity@gmail.com.
Every berth tenancy, slip-fee entry, breach record, communication, lien-defense event, and any photo you attach to a breach record is stored in this app's local SwiftData store on your iPhone. We have no server that can read, restore, or move that data. There is no cloud sync built into the app.
Does Sliphold store the photos I attach?
Yes — but only on your device. When you take a photo with the camera or pick one from your library to attach to a breach record, that image is saved inside the local record on this iPhone. It is not uploaded anywhere. The app has no file browser, no document vault, and no PDF or file import.
What about the evidence PDF the app generates?
The berth-tenancy evidence PDF is built on demand, on your device, by Apple's PDFKit, from the records you entered. It is handed to the iOS Share Sheet so you can send it where you choose — it is not retained on any server.
Do you collect analytics, crash logs, or an advertising identifier?
No. There is no analytics SDK, no crash reporter, and no advertising identifier. We do not know how often you open the app, which screens you visit, how many tenancies you track, or whether you subscribed — except through Apple's standard aggregate developer sales reports.
How does the state reference work? Is it AI?
The State Maritime & Boaters-Lien-Law Reference is a static, bundled, rule-based data set drawn from publicly available state regulations, shipped with the app and updated through ordinary App Store releases. It is general information, not legal advice, and it makes no network calls. No content from your records is sent anywhere for processing. If a future release ever introduced any external processing or AI, it would be strictly opt-in, with a clear in-app notice before any record left your device.
Sliphold does not request location, contacts, microphone, or health access, and contains no tracking.
When you start a free trial, subscribe, or restore a purchase, the app communicates with Apple's StoreKit to confirm your entitlement. That exchange is between your device and Apple; it carries no berth records. We never see your payment details.
Your records and attached photos are included in standard iOS Backups (iCloud Backup or Finder) when you have those enabled — this is Apple's device backup, not a Sliphold cloud. If you delete the app without an available iOS Backup, your records and photos are removed permanently, and there is no in-app recovery. Deleting a record inside the app is also permanent (a confirmation step guards it).
Sliphold is intended for adults managing a vessel and a marina relationship, and is not directed to children.
