Snubline is a rigging-forces planning tool for professional arborists. It is built so that the information you enter stays with you. This policy explains exactly what the app does and does not do with your information.
Snubline does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide an email address. There is no server-side user database and no login of any kind.
All information you enter into Snubline — your Gear Locker items and tag ratings, rope profiles, jobs, scenarios, site notes, and any photos you attach — is stored entirely on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Snubline has no backend and performs no network requests. Your data is never transmitted to any server controlled by us, and it is never shared with any third party.
If you have iCloud Backup enabled for your iPhone, your Snubline data is included in that standard device backup, handled entirely by Apple and under your control through your iOS settings. Snubline itself does not use CloudKit, does not synchronize your data across devices, and has no access to your device backup.
You can attach photos to a job. Photos are chosen through the system photo picker (which does not require granting Snubline access to your library) and are stored only within the app's private on-device storage. If you choose to save a briefing sheet or scenario share card to your Photos library, Snubline requests add-only permission at that moment. Snubline never reads your photo library in the background and never uploads any image.
Snubline does not request location. It contains no analytics SDKs, no tracking pixels, no advertising identifiers, and no crash-reporting service. There is no user-behavior telemetry of any kind, because there is no network connection through which to send it.
Snubline offers an optional one-time purchase and optional auto-renewing subscriptions for its Pro workflow features. All purchases are processed by Apple's StoreKit through your Apple ID. We do not receive your payment information; Apple provides Snubline only with an anonymous entitlement indicating whether Pro is active.
Because Snubline stores all data on your device, you can remove any record within the app at any time, or delete the app entirely. Deleting the app removes all Snubline data from that device (but not from any iCloud device backup you have configured).
Snubline is a planning aid intended for professional arborists and tree crews. It is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. Any information stored in the app is entered by you and remains on your device.
If we update this privacy policy, the revised version will be posted at the same URL. Continued use of the app after such an update indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
