Privacy Policy

SubLens (“we”, “the app”) respects your privacy. This page explains what data the app processes and how.

1. Data we collect

None of your data leaves your device. All subscription records, categories, payment methods, budgets and reminders you create are stored locally using Apple’s SwiftData framework. We do not run any backend server, do not require an account, and do not connect to your bank.

2. Data we do NOT collect

• No personal identifiers (name, email, phone, address)
• No analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising SDKs
• No location data
• No contact list or photos access

3. Permissions we request

• Notifications — only to remind you of upcoming bills and trial-ending dates. Optional; can be denied.
• Background App Refresh — to roll forward billing dates and re-arm reminders.

4. Subscriptions & payments

Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple via StoreKit 2. We never see your payment information. Your subscription status is verified on-device through Apple's signed receipts — we do not store purchase history on any server. Apple's privacy policy applies to those transactions.

4a. Widget & App Group

The SubLens home-screen widget reads a small summary snapshot (monthly total, upcoming bills) from a shared "App Group" container on your device. This container is sandboxed to SubLens and its widget extension and is never transmitted off-device.

5. Data export & deletion

You can export your data as CSV at any time from Settings. Deleting the app removes all local data permanently.

6. Children

SubLens is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.

7. Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date above and notify you in-app.
