Where do my records live?
On this iPhone. Your properties, contract terms, discrepancies, amount notes, photos, and communication log are stored in the app's local database on your device. There is no AgentAudit server that holds them; we cannot read, restore, or move them.
Does AgentAudit connect to my bank, my rent payments, or my property manager's system?
No. This is the core promise. AgentAudit never links to any bank, payment processor, accounting service, or property-management platform. It reads no transactions and no rent flows. Every monetary figure in the app is a note you typed yourself — the app does not import it, verify it, total it, or determine that any amount was owed.
Do you collect analytics, crash logs, or an advertising identifier?
No. There is no analytics SDK, no crash reporter, and no advertising identifier. We do not know how often you open the app, which screens you visit, how many properties or discrepancies you track, or whether you subscribed — except through Apple's standard, aggregate developer sales reports.
What happens to the photos I attach to a discrepancy?
They stay on your device, referenced by the discrepancy you attached them to. AgentAudit never uploads them. They are included in your standard iOS Backup (iCloud Backup or Finder) when you have that enabled — that is Apple's normal on-device backup behavior, not an AgentAudit feature.
What is the evidence PDF, and where does it go?
When you generate an evidence pack, AgentAudit builds a PDF on your device from the records you entered and hands it to the iOS share sheet. You decide where it goes from there. Nothing is transmitted by AgentAudit during generation, and every page carries a reference-only note.
Does anything sync to iCloud or my Apple ID?
AgentAudit declares no iCloud entitlement and has no cloud sync. Your records are part of your ordinary iOS Backup when that is turned on — Apple's standard behavior for all on-device data.
The app deliberately has no field for a Social Security number, a bank-account number, or any account credential, and asks for none. Your records are included in your standard iOS Backup when it is enabled; we have no access to that backup — only Apple does, under their published terms. If you delete the app and keep no iOS Backup, its records are removed with it; there is no remote copy for us to hold. There is no in-app bulk export or import.
aps-environment entitlement.AgentAudit offers an optional Pro tier (an annual and a monthly auto-renewing subscription) through Apple's StoreKit 2. When you subscribe, restore a purchase, or when the app checks your entitlement, your device talks directly to Apple. AgentAudit receives only whether the entitlement is active and a purchase identifier — never your Apple ID, payment method, billing address, or transaction history. Apple's handling of that information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
You can decline or revoke any of these at any time in iOS Settings > AgentAudit; the app remains usable without them. AgentAudit requests no microphone, no location, no HealthKit, and no contacts permission.
AgentAudit is a personal recordkeeping tool for a property owner documenting their own hired management company. Despite the name, it performs no audit: it does not verify, calculate, or determine any amount, and it makes no finding that anyone misappropriated anything. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any property-management company, registry, or agency. It provides no legal or accounting advice and no guarantee that a record will satisfy a lawyer, an arbitrator, or a court. The per-state landlord-agent reference is general educational material with a per-state pointer to the authoritative source, and is reference-only.
AgentAudit is a tool for U.S. adults who own rental property. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Because everything is stored only on your device, you control retention completely. To remove all AgentAudit data, delete the app (and remove it from any iOS Backup you have kept). There is no remote copy for us to delete.
AgentAudit is published in English and marketed in the United States. The landlord-agent reference is U.S.-specific. The app transfers your data nowhere because it transfers your data nowhere.
If a future release ever changes how the app handles data — for example, if a later version ever introduced any sync, analytics, or third-party integration — we will update this policy and surface the change in the app before that feature becomes available. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
