CareLog is a family caregiver journal designed to help adult children and spouses track medications, appointments, and daily health observations for aging loved ones. Your privacy — and the privacy of the person you are caring for — is the reason this app exists. This policy explains exactly what happens with the information you enter.
None that leaves your phone. CareLog has no user account system, no login, no analytics, and no servers.
When you use CareLog, the following is saved only on your iPhone or iPad:
This information is stored inside a private app container on your device using Apple SwiftData. It is not transmitted, backed up to our servers, or shared with us. It may be included in your iPhone's iCloud device backup if you have iCloud Backup enabled — that is Apple's backup system, not ours.
CareLog uses Apple StoreKit for a yearly subscription and a one-time non-consumable Lifetime purchase. Loading products, checking offer eligibility, purchasing, restoring and verifying access communicate with Apple. The app reads verified product and entitlement information, including expiration or revocation status where applicable, and keeps local access state. Apple processes payment; CareLog does not receive your payment-card details or Apple Account password. Current and supported historical purchase access depend on verified transactions. CareLog does not use any third-party SDKs except Apple's StoreKit for in-app purchases. We do not integrate with analytics platforms, advertising networks, or crash reporting services.
CareLog provides an Export feature that lets you generate a PDF report or CSV files of your data. These files are created on your device and are only shared when you explicitly use iOS's share sheet to send them somewhere (email, message, AirDrop, etc.). You decide where they go.
CareLog is intended for adults caring for family members. It is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
CareLog is a personal care journal, not a medical device. It does not provide medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for medical decisions. In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number.
If we update this policy, the "Last updated" date above will change. Material changes will be noted on the app's About screen.

These CareLog legal pages are served by Vercel. Opening a page sends ordinary request information, such as IP address, browser information and the requested URL, to the host for delivery and security; see Vercel's Privacy Notice. These pages contain no advertising or analytics scripts. If you email support, we receive the address and information you choose to send to answer your request. Avoid including sensitive records that are not needed for that request.
CareLog's widget displays locally prepared summaries of app records. The app and its widget exchange the relevant summary and preferences through an on-device shared container; this is not a developer-operated record upload. Information displayed by a widget can be visible to people able to view the Home Screen or Lock Screen where it is placed. Use the widget and device display settings to control that visibility. Screenshots and independent copies remain separate from the records you later edit or delete.
Deleting a care recipient through the management screen requires another recipient to remain and removes the selected profile's linked medications, check-ins and appointments after successful saving; remaining reminders are refreshed. This is separate from erasing every preference, original library image or exported report. Free CSV exports supported care-history fields without original photo attachments or a complete restorable database. There is no built-in CSV import or Recently Deleted recovery. Backup recovery through Apple requires a usable completed copy and is not guaranteed. Restore Purchases restores eligible access, not care records.
