Terms of Service

Last updated: April 16, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the CareLog iOS application ("CareLog" or "the app"). By downloading or using CareLog, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Not Medical Advice

CareLog is a personal care journal, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. It does not provide medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for medical questions or decisions. In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number.

Who Can Use CareLog

You must be at least 18 years old to use CareLog. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the app — including recording information about another person — complies with applicable law. If you are recording care information about another adult, you should have their consent or appropriate authority to do so.

Your Data

CareLog stores all data locally on your device. We do not operate servers that hold your health information. You are responsible for backups of your device. Please see our Privacy Policy for full details.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of CareLog, except to the extent permitted by law. You agree not to use CareLog to violate any applicable law or the rights of any third party.

No Warranty

CareLog is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that every reminder will deliver at the exact requested time (notification delivery is controlled by iOS).

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of CareLog, including any health outcome, missed dose, or decision influenced by information recorded in the app. You remain solely responsible for your care decisions and for verifying medications and dosages with the original prescription and with your healthcare provider.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be noted on the app's About screen. Continued use of CareLog after changes constitutes acceptance.
