Peoplebox Privacy Policy

Thank you for using Peoplebox (the "App"). We take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your data.

1. Data Collection & Storage

Peoplebox does not collect, upload, or transmit any personal data to remote servers. All notes, tags, follow-ups, and settings are stored locally on your device.

• Notes, tags, follow-ups, and smart groups are saved via Apple SwiftData inside the App sandbox and App Group container
• Subscription status is managed by Apple StoreKit; we do not maintain any server-side accounts
• The App requires no registration, no login, and no network access for its core features

2. Contacts Access

Peoplebox requests read-only access to your iOS Contacts so you can attach private notes to the people you already know.

• The App only reads contact data; it never modifies, adds, deletes, or uploads your contacts
• Contact data stays on your device and is never transmitted off-device
• You can revoke this permission at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Contacts

3. Notifications

If you grant notification permission, the App schedules local reminders for your follow-ups and stale-contact alerts. All scheduling happens on-device; no push servers are involved.

4. Background Refresh

The App uses iOS Background App Refresh to periodically check for contacts you haven't talked to in a while and surface a local notification. No data leaves your device during this check.

5. Subscriptions

Peoplebox offers an optional Pro subscription processed through Apple's In-App Purchase system. We receive no payment information; all billing is handled by Apple.

6. Third-Party Services

Peoplebox does not integrate any analytics SDKs, advertising networks, crash reporting services, or third-party trackers.

7. Children's Privacy

Peoplebox is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date.
